It was straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. You should have seen them-playing in the back yard on a warm summer morning without a care in the world. I was just sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by a mound of sticky plates holding pools of syrup left behind by the boys. Just moments before they were attacking my French toast and then tracking sticky footprints all the way to the back door.
