The back of the neck is stroked out to the ears with the thumbs. Thumb circles are made from the buttock crease towards the hip. The pressure applied should be gentle and to be done with tender hands. This motion is to be repeated a number of times. The entire back is effleuraged again to relax the muscles. The spine is then to be gently stroked. This movement is done by keeping one hand over the other. While doing this the motion must get lighter and lighter.
