Instead of wandering aimlessly around in taking photos, be intentional. Go to the zoo and focus on taking pictures of all the carnivores. Go to a park and only take photos of park benches. Take photos at home, but only take them in black and white. These may seem like limitations, but they give purpose and a challenge. Besides that, if something else interesting occurs, the camera is ready to capture the experience.
