The Four Sites of Chardham
The Char Dham is a group of four pilgrimage sites based in India. The importance of these sides is that 20 help in achieving salvation. Salvation is the ultimate peace of soul. Puri
Puri is the first pilgrimage site which is located at the East in Odisha, India. The main Idol or god who is worshipped over here is Lord Krishna popularly known as lord Jagannath. This is the only pilgrimage site in India where there is the idol of goddess Subhadra who was the sister of Lord Krishna and Lord balabhadra who was the brother of Lord Jagannath. The main temple was constructed around thousand years ago by Raja Choda Ganga Deva and Raja Tritiya Anand Bhima Deva. The literal meaning of Jagannath is world personified. This temple was basically a Jain temple.
Rameshwaram
Rameshwaram is located in the south direction of India in the state of Tamil Nadu in the Gulf of Mannar. To be precise, it is exactly located at the tip of Indian peninsula. This place is considered as one of the pilgrimage sites because at this place Lord Ram along with his brother Lord Laxman and Devotee Lord Hanuman and the whole of Vanar Sena started building the bridge called as Ram Setu to reach Sri Lanka in order to rescue goddess Sita, the wife of Lord Ram. There is a temple called as the ramanathaswamy temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, has a great area in Rameshwaram. It is believed that when one goes to Banaras which is also a pilgrimage site, one has to come to Rameshwaram also otherwise the journey remains incomplete. Sri Ramanatha Swamy Temple has Shivling which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
Dwarka
The location of Dwarka is the state of Gujarat in the west of India. The literal meaning of Dwarka is a door or gate. Dwarka is a Sanskrit word. Its exact location is the place where Gomti river merges into the Arabian Sea. This Gomti river is different from the tributary which comes out from the holy Ganga river. Dwarka is known for Lord Krishna’s bringing up and all the magical incidences done by Lord Krishna. The city of Dwarka has submerged by water of the Arabian Sea whenever it overflows.
Badrinath
Badrinath is located in Uttarakhand in Garhwal Hills. It is located on the banks of Alaknanda river. The town is located between the narrow and Narayan mountain ranges. This mountain range falls in the shadow area of Neelkanth peak. Badrinath offers many interesting sightseeing spots like Vyas gufa, Charan Paduka, the book of the Saraswati river, Mana, Mata Murti, bhimkund, etc. There are four Maths established by Adi Shankaracharya ji in India, one of them is Joshimath which is the winter seat of Chardham . All the three dams are open throughout the year, it is only Badrinath Dham which is open for the pilgrims for widgets from April to October only.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
From airport you will be transfer to your hotel. Delhi is the capital of the modern India, though it is made up of seven ancient cities, spanning the period from the 11th to 20th centuries. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Explore Delhi
After morning breakfast you will be taken to visit the famous Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Stay night at Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi – Haridwar (230 Kms, 4-5 Hrs Drive)
In the morning, drive to Haridwar. Transfer to your hotel. After a Short leisure Visit to Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Haridwar – Barkot (220 Kms, 4-5 Hrs Drive)
After breakfast drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to Barkot. Arrive and check in hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 Km Drive & 10 Kms Trek (One Side)
Drive to Phool Chatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (7kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamnabai Kund warn water and having “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to Hanuman Chatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 06: Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 Kms, 4-5 Hrs Drive)
After breakfast you will be drive to Uttarkashi. Arrive and check in Hotel. Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 Kms, 2-3 Hrs Drive)
Early morning we drive to Gangotri (3048 meters), en route you will enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Uttarkashi – Rudraprayag (175 Kms, 3-4 Hrs Drive)
In the morning after breakfast you will be drive to Rudraprayag enroute visit Tehri Dam. Arrive Rudraprayag and transfer in Hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 09: Rudraprayag – Kedarnath (75 Kms & 14kms Trek)
Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 meters) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Later visit Kedarnath Temple. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Kedarnath – Rudraprayag (14 Kms Down Trek & 75 Kms, 3 Hrs Drive)
Early morning, after Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later, drive to Rudraprayag via Guptkashi. Check in Hotel at Rudraprayag.
Day 11: Rudraprayag – Badrinath (165 Kms, 7-8 Hrs Drive)
After morning breakfast you will visit to Badrinath via Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Later at evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Badrinath – Joshimath (44 Kms, 3 Hrs Drive)
Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahama Kamal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinath Ji. Later drive back to Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Joshimath – Rishikesh (254 Kms, 8 Hrs Drive)
Early morning, visit Narsingh Temple & Shankaracharya Math. Later, drive back to Rishikesh. Check in hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Rishikesh – Delhi (230 Kms, 6-7 Hrs Drive)
In the morning you will drive to Delhi for departure.
