The company focuses on publishing various projects in the humanities, which includes literary criticism, writer biographies, and study guides for literary works. They have, in the past, collaborated with publishers like Gale (Cengage Learning) and Chadwyck-Healey (ProQuest). Thomas Riggs & Company’s first book was published with St. James Press in 1995 and was called Contemporary Poets. The company’s plans for their own line of literary books began in 2009.
